I received an advance reading copy of this book last May as part of a Goodreads giveaway.  I read it a while ago but had to marinate on it before writing my review.  It was certainly suspenseful and I didn't see the ending coming, but I was also deeply disturbed by it.  Now I am not saying that it is bad that it was disturbing, but I would like to say that it was definitely a lot darker than I was expecting.

I realize that this book was about teenagers and is classified as young adult fiction, but I definitely wouldn't recommend it for younger teenagers and possibly not even for older teenagers.  From the way over the line bullying by Sadie Su to the makings of a serial killer of Emerson Tate.  This book reminded me more of a true crime book than a YA fiction novel even though I know it is a work of fiction.

The author definitely has the background to write psychological thrillers.  If you are into dark and disturbing this is the book for you!
